Graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2014, Deborah Loh uses her art practice as a way of processing different thoughts and ideas. Her current practice focuses on the limited influence of art and the necessity of it, she likes to paint on found images and text in different layers, creating a collage feel to her works. The use of popular images and text allows viewers to identify with certain elements and ideas which allow them to further engage with her paintings. In the series Here Comes the One Liner, she paints over discarded posters to compare ideas of spectacle and reality.
Deborah has shown her works in several exhibitions and art fairs such as Sungei Uncle at Kult Gallery (Singapore, 2017), Bi Lateral Bonds at Taksu Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia, 2016), Local Only at Taksu Singapore (Singapore, 2016) and Affordable Art Fair in 2016 and 2015
